So the word about the
Pet-o-holics Namerator is out thanks to
WoW Insider and
Mania’s Arcania, which spread to many many other sites. Now, I was expecting some interest in it..but not this much interest! Over 4000 views in one day AND there were over 200 name submissions waiting for me in my mail box! One person even submitted names 38 times! Does everyone have a hunter or something?
However, I wanted to say a big thanks to the hunter community for your love and support of this project. My wrists may be hurting a little from entering all those names (and I’m not even half done) but it really makes me feel good to see that I’m not the only one obsessed with pet names. Some of them are very imaginative and funny. I now have it in my head that I’m going to tame the ugliest scariest beast and name him Sparkles or SimpleSensations, just so I can giggle about it every time I log in. Keep the names rolling in and thank you all again!
An aside: One day people will remember that it’s PetOholics, not PetAholics, and that I am a female, not a male. >.>

You have all waited very patiently for this, I know you have. So before everyone explodes from being pent-up, I proudly give you…drum roll please…
You may be wondering why only 2 names appear at a time when
PANDA has 10 at once. The reason? I have discovered that I’m good at thinking of serious pet names…not so good at silly ones. As a result, the silly categories for every pet name are sorely needing to be filled. Some of them only have 2 names listed in those categories. So I turn to you, my readers, once again to help me by sending in any silly pet names you can think of. Use the form below the Namerator to send them in to me. Remember that pet names can fall under more than one category so I’ve made the form able for you to choose multiple categories if it is appropriate. Once the categories have more names, I will make it so that more names appear when you press the Generate button.

Fizzwidget, one of my favourite mod authors, for giving me the inspiration behind the name. It may not be as witty or inventive as some of his, but I tried.

It doesn’t look like much, does it? Just
Niqora and Grakoth doing some quests in Shadowmoon Valley. But oh, it is much more than that. The text box hints at it. Whether you want to believe your eyes or not, it’s true. Niqora has reached level 70.
It’s hard to believe after spending so much time playing (getting on 2 years now) I have just now leveled a character to 70. And you know what? I’m glad it took so long. I’m glad that I spent the time fooling around roleplaying and making friends. I’m glad that I did it really without any help. I’m glad that I’ve learned how to chain-trap even though I only did it once and I’m still not great at it. And boy was I happy when I kited for the first time, that being Niqo kiting
Tusker through Halaa all the way to Garadar, killing her all on her own. Of course I was so excited I forgot to screenshot it. *sigh*
The absolute first thing I did after reaching 70 was mount up and race back to Shadowmoon Village. I had saved up over 2000 gold so I sauntered over to
Dama Wildmane. My
favorite troll hunter joined me and helped me pick out this beauty.
He then took me for a tour, showing me the Skyguard and Shattered Sun dailies. I knew flying would be fun but I was having a blast! He laughed when I kept saying “Wheeeeeeee!” while flying around in circles. He was really nice of him to take the time to show me around, even if I was half dead from playing for 12 hours straight.
My epic flying is going to be the red one, because Niqora looks good with red and it offsets the troll’s nice green one.
The reason why I had been playing for 12 hours? Well, I wanted to get to 70 that day but also because Mr. High-And-Mighty Paladin said I couldn’t do it, not enough time. I was determined to prove him wrong and I did.
So that’s the big news! Aren’t you all so excited for me?! Ah, I know that as happy as I am about it, most of the people reading were hoping for something else. I don’t want to disappoint you…
