I don’t know how many players actually use and/or look for mods for WoW but I decided to start listing some particularly useful ones that I use. I’ve already mentioned PetExp2 in one of my previous posts so I figured that would be a good place to start.
Basic Info:
Every time you kill a mob with your pet active, it displays a single line of text in your chat window. This text states the following information about your pet:
- the amount of experience gained from this kill
- the amount of experience so far gained for the current level
- the amount of experience needed to achieve the next level
- your pet’s next level (just in case you didn’t know 🙂 )
- how much experience is left to gain for your pet to reach the next level
- and the most useful portion: how many more mobs you need to kill if they are exactly the same as the one you just killed

It just figures, doesn’t it? I decided to do some grinding with Nicora in Feralas (she’s level 38 now) and even though the mobs are higher than they should be, the master leatherworking trainer is just a few steps away and I’d thought I’d get my leatherworking skill up a bit. So I’m fighting longtooth runners, and lo and behold, Snarler saunters by. The Snarler, the rare and elusive black wolf that is soooo hard to find, that I want to tame so badly, that I can’t tame until I reach level 42. I just whimpered as I watched him walk away. You of course know what this means, right? It means that when I actually reach level 42, he will be nowhere to be found. ‘Tis life :S
Fancy this, I was talking about having to get teleported to certain Alliance cities and when I actually want to travel from Ironforge to the Exodar (because this is with a level 10 character that doesn’t have much chance in the Wetlands), not one person responds to me asking for a teleport. Not one. Even though I said I would pay. So I ended up walking through the Wetlands very, very carefully. Luckily I didnt die but I think Blizzard needs to rethink this system.
